Get the Booney app
The Booney app runs on the computer that watches your camera. It spots critters and tells the sprayer when to spray. A setup guide walks you through connecting your account, the camera and the sprayer's wireless board.

Supported cameras
Booney watches your camera's local video stream (RTSP). Any camera that offers one will work.
Works out of the box
RTSP is built in. No extra software needed.
- TP-Link Tapo ($20–$40): Tapo C110 (indoor 2K), C120 (outdoor, IP66), C210 (indoor pan/tilt). Turn on RTSP in the Tapo app under Camera Account.
- Reolink ($35–$65): Lumus (outdoor 1080p), E1 / E1 Pro (indoor pan/tilt), RLC-410 / 510A. Turn on RTSP and HTTP snapshots in the camera's network settings.
- Amcrest ($30–$55): 1080p / 2K ProHD series. Full ONVIF Profile S and RTSP, set up in the camera's browser page.
- Generic RTSP IP cameras ($20–$30): XMeye / Xiongmai-based budget bullet cameras such as Jooan, commonly sold on Amazon and AliExpress with ONVIF/RTSP open.
Needs a bridge or firmware change
- Wyze Cam v2, v3, Pan v3, v4 ($25–$40): cheap and easy to find. Needs docker-wyze-bridge (or go2rtc) running on a local computer, or Wyze's RTSP firmware/beta on models that have it.
- Yi / Kami Home ($20–$30): needs third-party firmware such as Yi-Hack, loaded from a microSD card, to turn on local RTSP/ONVIF.
- Blink and Ring: not supported. They're cloud-only with no local stream; unofficial bridges exist but often break or get rate-limited.
Install on a Mac
- Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Booney into Applications.
- Open Booney from Applications. The first time, macOS says it can't check it for malicious software (the app isn't registered with Apple yet). Click Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to "Booney was blocked" and click Open Anyway.
- Allow Booney to find devices on your local network when asked: that's how it reaches the camera and sprayer.
- The setup guide opens in your browser. Booney starts by itself from then on, even after a restart.
